HISTORY, HERITAGE AND SCENERY

Hedley Lodge is in a great location from which to explore the the delights of Herefordshire, the Wye Valley and the Welsh Borderlands of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons national park.

The Marches City of Hereford is dominated by its Mediaeval Cathedral and is famed for is Mappa Mundi and Chained Library. It has a great musical tradition with the Three Choirs Festival and one time home of Sir Edward Elgar who was a visitor to Belmont Abbey.

Herefordshire is a county of unspolit countryside with market towns that have their own individual charm, black and white villages, and the famous white-faced cattle and the apple orchards for making its cider. Just over the border is Hay-on-Wye, the famous town of books.

Our staff are happy to advise you on places to visit and things to do and see during your stay.
